The implant post is surgically placed into your jawbone which means it will and does function like a tooth root in terms of how it functions and support. The results of the implant will be like having your old teeth again, only better because these new implant crowns will look flawless. The color will blend with your other teeth. For patients that have several missing teeth or more, their new implants provide a permanent solution to their sunken in face or the fine lines around their mouth. The implants provide natural facial support, just like your teeth once did. Dentures or a partial may achieve similar support, but neither option is permanent, and each has to be removed at night. Dental implants, however, are permanent just like your natural teeth. Dental implants are not for everyone though.
